Looking for a way to give back this March Break?

Participating in a Community Food Engagement Activity at The Food Bank of Waterloo Region is a fun and engaging way to learn about the work we do, while working with your fellow community members to help ensure that much needed food gets to our neighbours.

As a community participant, you will be helping with a variety of activities in our distribution centre that may include: fresh or frozen food sorting, fresh food packaging, and non-perishable food sorting. Food Engagement activities will change regularly, depending on the type of donations and the needs of our community programs and agency partners. Upon your arrival at our distribution centre our Engagement Team will advise your group what activity you will be supporting that day.

Community food and fund donations play a critical role in helping to ensure no one goes hungry. Please note, space is limited and registration is required.

To participate in the Community Food Engagement Activity, we ask you to support us by donating a bag of our most needed food items or make a minimum financial donation: $10 for an adult, $5 for a child, or $20 for a family.

You may make your financial donation by cash, credit card or cheque when you arrive, or in advance at www.thefoodbank.ca/foodengagement/. Tax receipts are available for all monetary donations or proof of food purchase.
